Common Areas/Parked Cars/Gas-Mineral Rights

June 18, 2008

FYI - We've experienced some road blocks in our efforts to repair common area entrances that will delay their completion.

Peytonville - Vandalism of our waterfall light short circuited our wiring, blowing out our controller and most likely waterfall motor. (We have filed a report with the police. If you have any information on this, please contact me) An insurance claim was previously filed for our deep well (which has not been approved) and we will now have to file an additional claim for these repairs. The neighborhood developers assisted us with trenching and tapping into city hydrant for irrigation purposes until we can come to long term resolution.

Shady Oaks - We had anticipated having this pond refilled and operational by this date. We will be delayed another 4-6 weeks while the developers get approval from city/installation of their new irrigation to fill and clean-out ours.

Please note, with these high temperatures, our common areas will look worse before they get repaired. We're working on this as fast as we can.

As a reminder, with summer and vacations:
(1) All cars/trucks should be parked inside your gate or driveway. Do not park on street. Keep doors locked.
(2) If you are going out of town for an extended period of time, tell your neighbors so they can watch out and report on any unusual activity. Or, upon request, the Police will check your residence while you are out of town.

One of the programs offered by the Southlake Police is the Vacation House Watch program. This program is designed for residents of Southlake when they are out of the town, normally for an extended time period. When a homeowner requests a vacation house watch, a police officer checks the
residence (at least once a shift) to ensure the premises is secure.

To take advantage of the program, complete the Vacation House Watch form http://www.cityofsouthlake.com/SouthlakeGovernment/City_Departments/Police_S
ervices/Vacation_House_Watch.asp and fax it to 817-748-8158. When Southlake Police receive the form, a member of the agency will contact you and give you a security code. When you return, please remember to notify our Communications Division at 817-743-4524 so we'll know you're back home.

On a more positive note, participating HOA chairs of the White Chapel Corridor Group are meeting this Saturday to come to conclusion with our gas/mineral negotiations. I will send out an update afterwards.

Please ask with questions.
